Fair Grounds Entrance at Kansas Expocentre

Topeka, United States

The entrance ran diagonally into the fairgrounds from the southwest corner of Seventeenth Street and Topeka Boulevard. Although the state fair was moved to Hutchinson in 1915, a new gate was not constructed until 1940. The new gate was constructed by the Works Progress Administration. Public works projects funded the construction of 14 fairgrounds buildings during the 1930s.
