Originally Lee Elementary School this historical landmark was built in 1906 and named after confederate general Robert E. Lee. The building was sold to the City of Little Rock in 1997, renovated, and now serves as a resource center for all Little Rock citizen. In 2005 the building was renamed the Willie L. Hinton Neighborhood Resource Center after a well-known community leader that helped re-purpose the building to it current state. It now houses several non-profits, community forums, and majority of the City of Little Rock's Board and Commission meeting.
