Polar Rock Repository at Byrd Polar Research Center

The Polar Rock Repository at The Byrd Polar Research Center is a national facility that house rock samples from Antarctica over the last 40+ years. It is the only facility of its kind in the United States. The PRR loans samples to researchers, museums, and K-12 educators, free of charge. The BPRC PRR also provides student travel grants, online sample database and a polar map/science/history library open to the public.
