"Come let us make brick, and bake them with fire." Genesis ch. II, ver. 3. This sculpture marks a neighborhood that used to be a regional center for brickmaking. Individual bricks in the base of each figure are imprinted with the names of old brickyards, and with the surnames of brickmaking families, names that still populate North Cambridge today.
