MIM-14 Nike Hercules Warhead: M17 blast fragmentation warhead or the W-31 nuclear fission warhead (2 - 40 kt) America's only operational nuclear surface to air guided missile system. The missile used a command guidance system with a HIPAR (Acquisition radar) and TTR (Tracking radar) -- ideal for high flying aircraft formations. A total of 25,000 were produced. It was in service from 1958 until it was declared obsolete in 1984.
