Seven Species Mosaic Wall

By Nancy Meyer and Simcha Moyal. The mosaic is estimated to contain 40,000 hand cut tiles illustrating the Seven Species honored in the Torah. Since ancient times, wheat, barley, grapes, figs, pomegranates, olives and dates are the special foods brought to the Temple in Jerusalem to commemorate the first fruits of the year. These Seven Species remain an integral part of the culture and landscape of Israel.
