Originally these bricks were part of a 17th century house at Vernals Farm, Lyndhurst in Hampshire, England. Captain Arthur Philip lived there before leading the first fleet to Australia. These bricks are a gift from Mr Geoffrey Cottee & his family to the Beauty Point Foreshore Walk to commemorate & recall Phillip's exploration of middle harbour in 1788. 15th October 1988.
