Colossus: The Fire Dragon

The Fire Dragon Designed by Anton Schwarzkopf and built in 1982, it toured Europe in a traveling carnival until arriving at Lagoon in 1983. It was originally named Colossus, but when it came to America, Magic Mountain in California didn't like sharing the name with its wooden coaster so Lagoon added the "fire dragon" sign in 1984 and it's confused guests ever since. During a recent rebuild, the old signs were taken down and a new one with the full name was paced on a new entrance building.
